HI! I’m Kate. I’m a recent dietitian graduate student, part-time chef and constantly curious. I’m also an animal-loving plant enthusiast, novice yogi, and mother of a mini-goldendoodle named Pepper (pictured below).
I have a biology degree from St. Norbert College and Certificate in Dietetics from Mount Mary University. I absolutely love learning and will stick my nose in any book – including cookbooks! Cooking is my happy place! Especially when I can listen to a podcast while I’m experimenting in the kitchen.
I decided to start this blog as a way for me to share my passion for food, nutrients and the human body with others! As I continue to enhance my knowledge, I plan to help individuals prevent and treat disease through a holistic approach. I’m also embracing this lifestyle for myself and I’ve already noticed improvements – physically, mentally and emotionally! My hope is that one day integrative and functional nutrition will be a standard part of patient care 🙂
